What are Luna Bars?
Luna bars are nutrition bars specially created for women. They are formulated with vitamins and minerals, especially the “Core 4″ nutrients ie. calcium,  vitamin D, iron and folic acid, that women need but often lack in order to maintain overall health.

Can Men Eat Luna Bars?
Yes, men can eat Luna bars. Bear in mind that these bars are formulated to meet the nutritional needs of women.

Luna Bars: The Good and Bad
Good:
- 70% organic.
- no trans fats, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup; artificial sweeteners, flavors or preservatives.
- non-GMO ingredients.
- provides a range of vitamins and minerals such as vit A, B, C, D and E; calcium, iron, selenium and folic acid.

Bad:
- contains soy protein isolate.
- some of the flavours are high in sugar,  which makes up 1/2 of the total carbs.

Verdict?
With the exception of soy protein isolate, Luna bars are made from primarily good quality ingredients. Although only non-GMO ingredients (including soy) are used, soy protein isolate is a highly processed and cheap source of protein. There are also potential safety concerns on increased consumption of soy products as discussed here.

If you like Luna bars, make sure you do not consume them excessively. If you are watching your weight, choose the flavours with lower sugar content.
